Lliswerry Baptist seeks to be a church that takes an active role in life in the community. This entails not only being available as a church and providing facilities, but also meeting people where they are.

We have work within the local schools taking assemblies and classes. This covers all schools from infants to comprehensive. We assist in providing help to the schools e.g. reading classes to being governors.

Another aspect of community life is work within nursing homes. We visit all the homes in the area and provide teams to lead short services on a regular basis.

It is a thrill for the church to be part of the mission based organisations and charities in the city and also to support the work of Teen Challenge - Newport.

As part of our pastoral ministry we make frequent visits to the local hospitals.
